Our Story
1956: The very first Pastificio Zini starts up a wholly handicraft activity of fresh pasta production.
1969: First in the world, Zini begins using kneading and cooking in continuous process.
1978:Zini is the first in the world to produce fresh frozen pasta, deep freezing the products immediately after cooking them in boiling water.
1983: Export trade towards France and Germany begins; in a few years, it will involve the whole Europe.
1990: Zini enters the fast food market with its semiautomatic pasta heaters for pastacorners.
1995: Zini brings out its famous gnocchi PATATO, made of pure potatoes (70%) and characterized by their high digestibility.

1999: Zini is the first frozen pasta producer to achieve the UNI ENI ISO 9000. Other quality certifications will follow: in 2006, the IFS – Higher Level (International Food Standard) and the BRC – A Level (British Retailers Consortium).
2004: Zini starts up the revolutionary “ZiniLunch” concept: an innovative and fully automatic pasta heater for pastacorners proposed in combination with a wide range of single portioned pasta and of sauces from the best Italian tradition.

2008: Zini brings out two new great products: the Polenta, Zini’s international success awarded both from the market and from the critics, and Su-Gò, Zini’s new range of frozen sauces in grains. This same year, Zini also enters the Chinese market.
2009: Zini presents its “Collezione Milano”, the very latest range of high quality filled pasta, characterized by refined recipes and strictly selected ingredients.
